Saturday August 16, 2014 -- NS 15Q at Hartzell Rd in New Haven Indiana

On Saturday August 16, 2014 I received word that the Interstate Norfolk Southern unit was on it's way to Fort Wayne.  I headed over to New Haven and waited.  Finally it arrived.  This was one of three heritage units that I was able to catch during my vacation.  This photo is of NS 15Q crossing Hartzell Road at 17:00 in New Haven Indiana.

Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Work is continuing on this project.  Not sure I like this idea, but the idea is to improve traffic flow. The claim is it will improve efficiency and safety.  It may work out great.  I just wonder how many accidents might occur by people who have never seen one getting confused..  It has been interesting trying to get through this area while the construction is going on.   I live just a mile or so from this point and go through the construction zone every day on my way to work.

This has been one of the few Heritage Units that I have been able to catch in good light.  This was Norfolk Southern locomotive 8100 leading train 29M north at River Road on 11/14/2013 New Haven Indiana.

I have updated my website again. I have removed the slide show of recent photographs and in its place I have put in a small blog style section to highlight the current photographs that I have taken. I also moved the recent news and sightings section to the left hand side of the screen. More updates will be forth coming as website evolves.

CSX Train R138-07 moves East at County Road 71 East of Indo near the Indiana/Ohio state line on January 8, 2012 at 14:47. Locomotives in the consist were CSX 8597 and CSX 31.

This was my first catch of the 2012 season. 01/08/2012 at 14:39 Westbound CSX train X395-07 with locomotives CN 2641, CN 2638, CN 2649, BN 8072, CSX 5346, and CSX 7388. Video was shot from the State Road 101 crossing near Indo.
